Application for Admission into Part-Time B.Sc. and Diploma Programmes for 2005/2006 Session

Laboratory Technology (SLT) Programmes

A.        B.Sc. Degree Programme

B.        Final Diploma Certificate Programme

      A.     Part- Time B Sc. Degree

The Programme provides a five year part-time training

for Secondary School leavers and adults in relevant employment

leading to the award of Degree in Science Laboratory Technology

in the following courses:
 

i.      Biochemistry

ii.      Microbiology

iii.     Geology

iv.     Physics/Electronics

v.      Plant Science

vi.     Chemistry

Entry Requirements

      a.   Minimum of SSCE/NECO with at least five Credits passes including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry   and 2 other subjects from the following Biology/Agricultural Science, Physics, Geology

      b.   Direct Entry

        Candidates may be admitted into a 4-year training programme leading to the award of the B.Sc.
           Degree in Science Laboratory Technology, if they posses any the following:
 

       i.    Diploma Certificate in Science Laboratory Technology with not lower than Upper Credit of the University of Ado-Ekiti or that of any other recognized University

      ii.   Ordinary National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology with upper Credit from any Federal or State College of Technology or Polytechnic

      B.        Final Diploma Certificate
 

This is a two year professional final course for the award of the University of Ado-Ekiti Final Diploma (HND) equivalent in Science Laboratory in the following courses:

                        i            Physics with Electronics

                        ii.          Geology and Mining

                        iii.         Chemistry and Biochemistry

                        iv.         Plant Science Technology

                         v.         Microbiology/virology

                        vi.         Zoology

                        vii.        Physics Engineering Production

Entry Requirements

        i.   Intermediate Diploma Certificate of the University of Ado-Ekiti or that of any other recognized Institution with minimum of lower credit

        ii.  National Diploma Certificate of Nigeria Institute of Science Laboratory Technology

        iii.  National Diploma (ND) in Science Technology with at least lower credit grade from any recognized Polytechnic or College of Technology

Application forms are obtainable at the Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (ISLT) University of Ado-Ekiti on presentation of receipts of payment of N 3,000.00 obtainable from the Bursary of the University.

Closing date

Duly completed application forms should be submitted to the Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (ISLT) University of Ado-Ekiti not later than FOUR WEEKS from the date of this publication
